THE weather in Shenzhen in the coming days will alternate between cloudy and sunny conditions, coupled with a gradual increase in temperatures, according to the latest weather forecast.

On Tuesday, the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory reported that the city had only seen 10 hours of sunlight uninterrupted by cloudy skies since April 1 due to recent rainy days. Fortunately, this period of heavy rainfall has now come to an end.

A recent climate report for March revealed that Shenzhen experienced an average temperature of 20.5 degrees Celsius, 1.1 degrees higher than the normal temperature of 19.4 degrees. Precipitation levels remained relatively low, with only 12 days recording rainfall throughout the month.

The observatory predicts that in April, the weather in Shenzhen will be hot and humid with slightly more precipitation than in March. Residents can expect frequent occurrences of severe convective weather.

The projected average temperature for April is expected to range between 23 and 24 degrees Celsius, indicating a slight elevation from typical levels. As the month progresses, heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds are anticipated. (Wang Jingli)
