Mangroves are an ecosystem of global importance. They play a critical role in maintaining eco-security and sustainability of coastal regions and enhancing humanity’s ability to address climate change.

The IMC aims to foster international cooperation for the protection, restoration, and sustainable use of mangroves, aligning with the Ramsar Convention’s objectives and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.

We invite you to showcase your talent and love for the environment. Together, let’s raise awareness of mangrove conservation and contribute to their sustainable development worldwide. Join us in shaping a brighter future for our planet!

Registration & Submission Deadline: May 8, 2024, 3 p.m.

Expert Review: May 13-15, 2024 (Provisional)

Public Voting: May 17-21, 2024 (Provisional)

Comprehensive Evaluation: May 22-31, 2024 (Provisional)

Announcement of Final Result: June 1, 2024 (Provisional)

Note: Attendance at the briefing and site visit is optional and does not affect registration or review.

II. Prizes and Awards

First prize (1 winner): CNY 150,000 + honor certificate.

Second prize (2 winners): CNY 30,000 + honor certificate.

Third prize (3 winners): CNY 10,000 + honor certificate.

Award of Excellence (4 winners): Honor certificate.
