Shenzhen Bus Group launches breakfast service
    2024-04-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

GREAT news for commuters rushing to work without time for breakfast! On April 8, Shenzhen Bus Group, in partnership with Didi Udian Technology Co., introduced a convenient breakfast service. The initial bus routes offering this service include F34B, F35B, F55, F249, F249C, F325, and F484.

The breakfast options are freshly prepared and delivered on the same day by the Shenzhen Bus Group canteen, following strict food safety protocols. Currently, there are five meal choices available, all priced at a promotional rate of 8 yuan (US$1.1). Selections include porridge, soy milk, bread, Chinese pastries, and eggs. Passengers can pre-order breakfast through the “优点出行”(Youdian Chuxing) WeChat mini-program a day in advance (deadline at 10 p.m.) and collect their meal the next morning by presenting a retrieval QR code inside the bus.

“With the morning rush to work, I often have no time for breakfast. Now, I can conveniently pick up breakfast on the bus, saving me a lot of time. It’s incredibly convenient! Shenzhen buses truly understand the needs of young people!” a passenger surnamed Zhang, who tried the new service, told the Dute News reporter.

In addition to freshly prepared breakfast items, as summer heats up in Shenzhen, some buses have turned into mobile convenience stores, offering cold drinks to passengers. According to Shenzhen Bus Group, starting from April 1, double-decker buses on the M191 route have begun selling beverages inside the cabins, currently following a self-service vending model.
