A vet with the Shenzhen Wildlife Rescue Center administers medication to an injured Oriental white stork. The bird was taken to the center after being found wounded in Lixin Lake Park in Bao’an District in January. After receiving meticulous treatment, including the removal of a fishing hook, round-the-clock care, medication, and a specialized diet, the stork’s condition has improved. As it continues to recover, there is hope that it will eventually return to the wild and reunite with its companions during the next migration season.
