Event cultivates bonds, stories of resilience
    2024-04-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Shenzhen Disabled Persons Federation orchestrated a heartwarming event for people with disabilities at Rose Coast in Dapeng New Area in Shenzhen yesterday, presenting a tapestry of inspiration and support.

Voicing tales of unwavering resilience, individuals with disabilities in Shenzhen expressed deep appreciation for the city’s inclusive ethos. Despite a sudden downpour, the event unfolded seamlessly, a testament to the unwavering dedication of staff and volunteers. Nearly 30 people with disabilities, alongside a multitude of empathetic individuals from society, converged to partake in this impactful gathering.

In a bid to enrich the cultural encounters of individuals with disabilities within the city, the federation unveiled an encompassing blueprint for fostering friendship events. This visionary scheme is designed to fortify the social safety net and bolster support services for individuals with disabilities, attentively catering to their requirements.

Opting for a romantically picturesque locale, organizers welcomed both individuals with disabilities and without, fostering inclusivity through a medley of interactive endeavors. From vibrant storytelling sessions to convivial discussions and engaging games, the event acted as a stage for all attendees to unveil their talents and forge connections.

Beyond shared narratives and expressions of support and warmth, attendees captured enduring moments through photographs and received thoughtful keepsakes. Complementing the affair were committed volunteers, providing indispensable aid and encouragement to participants with disabilities.

Noteworthy moments from the event were recorded by the lens of Shenzhen Daily photographer Liu Xudong.(SD News)
