Torrential rain pounds city
    2024-04-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Cars wade through water on a road in Shenzhen yesterday morning. The city issued a red alert for rainstorm at 11 a.m. yesterday, the highest level in the country’s rainstorm warning system. The weather forecasts said downpours swept Luohu, Nanshan, Futian, Bao’an, Guangming, Longhua, and Longgang districts yesterday morning, with cumulative rainfall exceeding 100 mm in three hours. There were no casualties or economic losses reported. Although rains subsided in the afternoon, the city is expecting another round of rain starting Friday.  China News Service
