THE Shenzhen Mountain-Sea Vistas Public Guide Map and the Mountain-Sea Vistas logo were unveiled during the opening ceremony of the Mountain-Sea Vistas Theme Exhibition and Communication Salon yesterday at the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning in Futian District.

The event is part of the 2024 Shenzhen Design Week.

The map features themed tour routes and provides information on public transportation and supporting facilities aimed at enhancing the convenience of travel and improving the visiting experience for both citizens and tourists. As part of the plan, the map will be distributed at railway stations and Metro stations across the city.

As a pioneer demonstration city of high-quality sustainable development, Shenzhen has embraced the vision of Mountain-Sea Vistas as a key initiative of the Green and Beautiful Guangdong Campaign. The vision is centered on ecological principles and people’s well-being. Through the creation of “One Ridge, One Belt, and 20 Corridors,” a city-wide green and recreational network is taking shape to link Shenzhen’s urban and natural environment.

Thus far, Shenzhen has completed the construction of the 6-kilometer-long Qianhai Bay section of the Shenzhen Mountain-Sea Vistas project, linking five urban parks in the city center — Lianhua Hill, Bijia Hill, Central, Meilin Mountain, and Yinhu Mountain parks — as well as the 200-kilometer Kunpeng Trail. These developments offer citizens new trekking and walking routes.

Over the next two years, the city will advance the construction of a coastal cycling path spanning from the west to the east of the city, according to information disclosed at the event yesterday.

The exhibition will be open at the museum throughout the Shenzhen Design Week period, which concludes Monday.

The event was jointly organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau and the Shenzhen Municipal Urban Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau.
