CONSTRUCTION of the Shenzhen International Western Highway Logistics Park, which is part of a national-level logistics hub in Shenzhen, started Tuesday. The project is expected to open by the end of 2025. The project, situated in Bao’an District’s Songgang Subdistrict, covers an area of 75,000 square meters, with a total investment of over 1 billion yuan (US$138.45 million). Leveraging Bao’an District’s advantage as a manufacturing base and its strategic location, the logistics park will specialize in businesses involved in integrated manufacturing logistics, supply chain operations, distribution, and transportation. It aims to establish automated international logistics warehouses, an intelligent trade logistics center, and a cold chain facility. The Shenzhen International Western Highway Logistics Park is an important part of the Shenzhen Manufacturing Service National Logistics Hub, which was recognized at the national level in 2023. Since then, Shenzhen has offered comprehensive logistics services covering trade, air transport, ports, and manufacturing. The Shenzhen Manufacturing Service National Logistics Hub also includes the Shenzhen International Comprehensive Logistics Hub in Longgang District, which spans 1,350 hectares. (Chen Siqi) |
