‘Flying Apsaras’

Drawing from the Dunhuang murals, the Chinese musical “Flying Apsaras” narrates the tale of protecting and preserving the ancient site in Gansu Province. Seamlessly blending iconic imagery from the Dunhuang murals — such as the enchanting flying apsaras and the mythical nine-colored deer — the stage production enriches the visual and thematic essence of the musical with profound cultural and historical significance.

‘Home’

“Home” is a physical play by Temper Theater in the U.K., narrating Imogen’s introspective journey to her childhood residence amid battling depression. The story is inspired by the personal experiences of director Finn Morrell, who founded Temper Theater in 2014.

‘Home Sweat Home’

Choreographed and directed by City Contemporary Dance Company artistic director Yuri Ng, “Home Sweat Home” delves into identities and dialects—Cantonese, and Shanghai and Taishan dialects — summoning the essence of Hong Kong culture while embodying the sentiment “home is where the heart resides.” Premiered in 2021 in West Kowloon Cultural District, this operetta-style production encapsulates the spirit of home.

Feng Mantian, Pu Cunxin

Quartet, choir

Quatuor Van Kuijk, comprising Nicolas Van Kuijk (violin), Sylvain Favre-Bulle (violin), Emmanuel François (viola) and Anthony Kondo (cello), will play a selection of French melodies transcribed for string quartet, as well as pieces by Debussy, Faure, Ravel, Poulenc and Satie.
