With the theme “Link with,” the subvenue features “Made in Shenzhen,” the T-Street Creative Mart, the 8th Tomorrow Festival, and several other diverse events aimed at fostering creativity and exchange among the public and professionals alike. Art and culture organizations within OCT-LOFT are also holding various exhibitions, highlighting the unique and vibrant creativity ecosystem of the area. The “Made in Shenzhen” program comprises a sustainable installation, a salon and a design workshop, inviting local young artists and designers to propose ideas for enhancing public spaces and infusing them with vitality. In OCT-LOFT’s South Area, a modular installation on the Red Brick Square has hosted over 20 public events in the past six months, and now it has been redesigned by .patchStudio into a stylish pavilion, intending to host more diverse events. During the ICIF, local artist Tan Lijie will exhibit a photography collection themed around bougainvillea inside the installation. Additionally, a salon featuring five youths from the realms of art, curation, architecture, and design will share their perspectives (4:30-6 p.m., May 25) there, along with a workshop on repurposing old items (4-5 p.m., May 26). The popular T-Street Creative Mart, known for bringing vendors of creative gadgets together with consumers, will be a focal point during the ICIF. Seventy-seven brands from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shanghai, and Chengdu will converge at C2 Space in North Area, offering a wide array of creative and cultural items including lifestyle products, paintings, music records, and handicrafts. Workshops and art installations will also be available, transforming the mart into a hub of inspiration. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the 8th Tomorrow Festival at B10 Live in OCT-LOFT’s North Area promises to be an eagerly anticipated and exciting experience for music lovers, featuring live performances, opportunities to purchase albums from favorite musicians with autographs, and late-night improvisation sessions. This year’s lineup is set to impress, featuring performances by Suzanne Ciani (8-9 p.m., May 24), Yuri Gagarin (9:20-10:20 p.m., May 24), Noor Zehra Kazim (7-8 p.m., May 25), Mekrop (8:20-9:20 p.m., May 25), Dwarfs of East Agouza (9:40-10:40 p.m., May 25), Emmanuelle Parrenin/Quentin Rollet/Jerome Lorichon (7-9 p.m., May 26), and SORA — Otomo Yoshihide’s New Project (8:20-9:20 p.m., May 26). Art enthusiasts should not miss Ryunosuke Okazaki’s “The Beat of Radiance” exhibition at D+ Art Museum, as well as other exhibitions at galleries and art spaces in OCT-LOFT. Okazaki’s designs, infused with futurism, exude a sci-fi elegance through his distinctive silhouettes and masterful use of colors. Captivating light shows are displayed on the wall of OCAT’s Hall A in South Area every night (7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m.) through May 26, promising a visual spectacle not to be overlooked.
