To be held from July 13 to Aug. 4 at the iconic Avenue of Stars and Tsim Sha Tsui Harbourfront, this exhibition commemorates the 90th birth anniversary of Doraemon’s creator Fujiko F. Fujio. The exhibition will feature free-entry zones with a towering 12-meter-tall inflatable Doraemon and 34 sculptures. Additionally, ticketed exhibition areas will offer an immersive experience with interactive installations, original artworks and sculptures, that showcase the rich world of Doraemon from manga art to movies. Keep an eye out for surprise appearances of Doraemon sculptures scattered across Hong Kong, highlighting a unique collection of 135 life-sized sculptures. Moreover, the exhibition will premiere an original animated short film designed specifically for Hong Kong. In a preview event, a mesmerizing Doraemon-themed drone show lit up Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour on Saturday night. The spectacular display included 1,000 drones forming images associated with Doraemon and other cherished characters. (SD News) |
