Nanshan innovation contest accepting applications
    2024-05-29  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

NANSHAN District has officially launched the Innovation Nanshan 2024 Entrepreneurs Star Contest, which is offering a whopping 7.45 million yuan (US$1.05 million) in prize money. Applications are currently being accepted, according to the contest’s organizers.

Open to the whole country and the world, innovative startups and growth enterprises are encouraged to participate in the contest. Before the finals in October, multiple elimination rounds will be conducted to select potential projects for development in Nanshan.

The contest is divided into various categories, including industry competition, artificial intelligence challenge, future competition, international competition, and out-of-town competition.

The five major competitions are divided into different categories based on the content of the competition, targeting startups and growth enterprises.

The industry competition covers fields such as next-generation information technology, biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, and new energy.

The international competition, to be held in the U.K., aims to attract outstanding and innovative teams and projects from around the world, promoting international exchange and cooperation.

The out-of-town competition will be held in Beijing with the goal of attracting more regional talent and innovative projects.

The winning projects can receive a package of entrepreneurial bonuses including policy support, talent recruitment, scientific research funding, household registration rewards, venue support, and financial resources.

Now in its 17th edition, the contest has attracted more than 20,000 innovative projects to participate. (Zhang Yu)
