Craftsmanship and creativity in Shenzhen Bayou Intl. Art Center
    2024-05-29  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN Bayou International Art Center, located near Shangfen Metro Station in Longhua District, features a ceramic museum, a library, and an art space. Here, residents can indulge in a blend of traditional and contemporary artifacts, participate in workshops on intangible cultural heritage, engage in art salons, and delve into the world of literature.

On the first floor, the ceramic museum showcases an array of elegant ceramic works spanning from ancient to contemporary times. Oversight of the museum’s academic endeavors is provided by the Shenzhen Arts and Crafts Industry Association, the Shenzhen Imperial Kiln Museum, and other organizations.

Ascending to the second floor, visitors encounter a library boasting a collection of 20,000 books covering art history, design, Shenzhen culture, and more. This treasure trove entices professionals and families alike to bask in the delights of reading.

Moving to the third floor, the art space takes center stage in fostering and promoting emerging artists. It extends invitations to international artists for art residency programs and spearheads initiatives for the incubation of young artistic talents.(Cao Zhen)
