Volunteers identify incorrect bilingual signs in Pingshan
    2024-05-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Dr. Mrutyunjay Maharana (L), an Indian principal engineer and expert working at BYD in Pingshan District, offers recommendations for improving English public signs at the Dawan Ancestral Residence. Maluan Subdistrict launched the “Discover, Correct, Share” event, which aims to rectify incorrect foreign-language public signs, Sunday. Chinese and expat volunteers in iconic red vests meticulously scrutinized English-language signs at locations such as the Pingshan Guest House, Gemdale School, and the Maluan Subdistrict Management and Service Center for Expats, among others. Maluan Subdistrict Office has documented these errors and plans to collaborate with the departments responsible for the signs to effect corrections.        Photo courtesy of the event organizer
