During the event, the children and parents carefully selected their favorite leaves or flowers, placing them on cloth before tapping them with stones to imprint textures, followed by the process of rubbing and painting. This collaborative effort resulted in several instant artworks showcasing the intricate shapes and textures of the leaves, offering a glimpse into the fascinating world of plant science. In this creative endeavor, the families not only worked together but also engaged in discussions on how to effectively capture the texture and colors, strengthening parent-child bonds and teaching children valuable lessons in cooperation, sharing, and communication. Moreover, the families also exchanged cultural customs and festive traditions in their own countries, fostering mutual understanding and friendship among diverse communities. An Indian expat who identified himself as Jay shared his perspective, highlighting the novelty and appeal of using plants to create art. He expressed how this event introduced his family to new friends, while also providing them with a warm and enjoyable experience. Staff members from the Maluan Subdistrict Office noted that this event served as an exceptional platform for children to deepen their understanding of nature, appreciate the unique allure of plants, enhance their practical skills, and fuel their creativity and imagination. |
