Power-loaded test of Phase IV of Line 3 completed

THE power-loaded test of Phase IV of Metro Line 3 was completed Thursday, laying a solid foundation for joint tests and initial operation of the section.

At 11:28 a.m., a test train departed from Fuping Station and traveled to Liyuan Station at low, medium, and high speeds. During the process, the train operated smoothly, and all data collected met the test requirements.

Phase IV of Shenzhen Metro’s Line 3 project is an important part of Shenzhen’s urban rail transit network. Starting from the existing Shuanglong Station, it runs 9.28 kilometers to Pingdi Liulian Station with seven stations in between.

As a significant urban rail project designed to enhance connectivity between the eastern reaches of the city and Shenzhen’s central district, it supports development of the Shenzhen International Low-Carbon City initiative and further enhances Line 3’s existing operations.

Once completed and operational, it will effectively ease transportation pressure between Longgang and Pingdi, accelerate urban development, and improve public service standards.

The project is the first of its kind to use a same-level vibration reduction and re-segmentation design for special vibration reduction. This innovative design will effectively alleviate potential problems, such as rail-wheel wear and rail corrugation, while meeting environmental assessment requirements.
