“PINGSHAN Station,” a new space spotlighting the distinctive features of Pingshan District, has recently opened its doors at the underground City Hub shopping plaza located near the Gangxia North Metro Station in central Futian District.

This weekend, several engaging activities await visitors: job-seekers can participate in a job fair, aficionados of shows can purchase discounted Pingshan Theater tickets, and creative product enthusiasts can browse through a diverse selection, with a promise of more forthcoming activities.

The job fair will be held at 3-5 p.m. Friday, along with booths presenting employment and entrepreneurship policies in Pingshan.

Now through June 10, people who purchase Pingshan Theater performance tickets at the space can relish a 50% discount for June shows, 40% off for July shows, and 30% off for August shows.

Notable performances include the Shenzhen dance drama “Wing Chun” (June 28-30), Sator Duo’s mesmerizing tango concert (July 4), U.S. Lightwire Theater’s spellbinding “The Adventures of Tortoise and Hare: The Next Generation” (July 24), Wang Zhongshan’s soothing guzheng concert (July 27), the alluring French musical “Mozart, L’opéra Rock” (Aug. 15-18), and Italy’s Playtoy Orchestra’s captivating concert (Aug. 24).

The innovative “Pingshan Station” showcases a variety of interactive screens and rooms that bring to life the diverse and vibrant facets of Pingshan, including tourism, industries, enterprises, culture, and sports. It serves as a comprehensive venue that displays Pingshan’s achievements and distinctive features. Visitors can immerse themselves in this experience while enjoying beverages and light meals, and shopping for cultural and creative products.

Taking advantage of the bustling transport hub at Gangxia North Metro Station — where four Metro lines intersect — the “Pingshan Station” space is positioned not only to showcase the urban charm of Pingshan to visitors from all corners of the city, but also provide a prime promotional platform for businesses.

The space can host a range of activities such as product launches, brand exhibitions, project presentations, sales events, marketing initiatives, business meetings, salons, and conferences. These offerings empower enterprises to bolster their brand visibility and enhance their market competitiveness.

At an entrance of the “Pingshan Station” space, opposite to the China Phoenix Building on Shennan Boulevard, an automatic door doubles up as a screen displaying futuristic sci-fi scenes. Walking through this door transports visitors into the space imbued with Pingshan’s innovations and achievements.

Further inside, additional screens and brochures highlight Pingshan’s unique advantages, progressive industries, business and entrepreneurship environment, living and working environment, as well as achievements in various sectors, providing a glimpse into Pingshan’s thriving development and potential.

Another entrance within the underground City Hub shopping center features a screen showcasing the iconic waterfalls of Maluan Mountain in Pingshan.

A large interactive wall exhibits a map pinpointing landmarks and scenic spots in Pingshan. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the map by touching it to illuminate the landmarks. Another map leads visitors through Pingshan’s network of nature trails, spanning mountains, forests, and parks.

Looking ahead, “Pingshan Station” plans to host a range of scientific, cultural, culinary, and entertainment events during festive holidays and summer vacations. These events may include the unveiling of cutting-edge products from various high-tech companies, the introduction of Pingshan’s travel itineraries focusing on sports, nature, ecology, science, industries, culture, art, and family-centric activities, as well as the promotion of quality performances in Pingshan.

These outreach efforts aim to demonstrate that Pingshan is more than just a hub for high-tech industries represented by companies such as BYD, SMIC, and Honor. It is also a haven for picturesque ecology and a variety of engaging events, beckoning both locals and tourists to explore Pingshan or consider investment in this vibrant district.

Venue: Pingshan Station, West Area, City Hub, Futian District (福田区深圳之眼购物中心西区坪山站)

Metro: Line 2, 10, 11 or 14 to Gangxia North Station (岗厦北站), Exit 2-6
