Calculator for iPad does the math for you
    2024-06-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

ONE way to confirm that you’re indeed at a developer conference is by observing the crowd’s enthusiastic response to the announcement of a new Calculator app. The introduction of this app elicited the most significant applause at WWDC 2024.

iOS’ enduring calculator app is now making its way to larger screens. This advancement leverages the additional screen space to introduce new features that could not be seamlessly integrated into the iPhone. The standout addition is the introduction of Math Notes, an innovative feature that simplifies mathematical calculations for users.

An aspect that adds to the allure of the iPad is its relevance in academic settings, although some educators may express reservations about an app that performs calculations on behalf of users. It is a stark contrast to the days when graphing calculators were deemed cutting-edge.

Users can now sketch out formulas using the Apple Pencil, with the built-in AI taking on the task of solving complex problems. Apple briefly mentioned during the event that this feature will also be available on macOS Sequoia. The release of both macOS Sequoia and iPadOS 15 is slated for later this year.

Furthermore, Apple revealed the launch of visionOS 2 for the Vision Pro and unveiled enhancements to the Photos app.(SD-Agencies)
