Lotus pond awakens in Honghu Park
    2024-06-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

LOTUS flowers have started blooming in Honghu Park in Luohu District. Although the flowers in the entire pond have not yet burst into full splendor, many enthusiasts have flocked to admire the vibrant hues of pink, white, and yellow lotus blossoms and budding buds in the park.

Some visitors are equipped with professional cameras to capture the serene beauty, while others are dressed in hanfu or cheongsam attire, posing against the backdrop of lush lotus leaves adorned with pristine flowers. Some simply choose to unwind amid this stunning natural spectacle, finding a moment of tranquility in the midst of the bustling city.

A harmonious scene unfolds in the park, where flowers, leaves, and birds coexist, exuding a sense of purity and delicate beauty. Some blooming lotus flowers are adorned with glistening dew and raindrops, their petals swaying gently in the breeze. Pond herons gracefully perch on lotus leaves or giant waterlilies, while egrets soar overhead, gliding through a dense carpet of lotus leaves.

Every summer, Honghu Park, known as the largest lotus cultivation base in South China, nurtures hundreds of lotus plants. To add a melodious touch to the floral exhibition, a music festival is scheduled at the park from this weekend until July 15, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. (Cao Zhen)
