THE Shenzhen Lotus Appreciation Month, as well as the Second Lotus Lifestyle Month events, began in Honghu Park, Luohu District, on Saturday and will run through July 15.

Upon entering the park through the east gate, visitors are greeted by a breathtaking display of lotus flowers, sourced from Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, that form a captivating sea of pink blooms.

Covering an area of 12,000 square meters, the Pinheyuan section has a diverse array of lotus species from Lingnan, Thailand, and other regions on display. Lingnan refers to the geographical and cultural region in the southern part of China, specifically associated with Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan.

The 2024 edition of the Shenzhen Lotus Appreciation Month, formerly known as the Shenzhen Lotus Show, has evolved into a multifaceted event that blends a vibrant shopping festival with floral charm.

Visitors will be able to enjoy lotus blossoms and take part in special shopping activities at 14 subvenues throughout the monthlong festival.

Among these promotions, the MixC Lifestyle mall has a promotion that provides reductions on every purchase, with a maximum discount of 288 yuan.

Given that the lotus blooms in Honghu Park have not reached their peak splendor yet, the event organizers recommend that visitors remain flexible about the specific date they plan to attend the show so that they may experience the full glory of the floral spectacle.
