‘Mamma Mia!’

The smash-hit jukebox musical “Mamma Mia!” unfolds as a daughter’s wedding approaches and her search for her father’s identity reunites her mother with three former suitors. Featuring classic ABBA hits and vibrant choreography by Anthony Van Laas, this promises a feel-good show.

Time: 8 p.m., July 12-14, 16-21 (weekends also at 2:30 p.m.)

‘Phantom of the Opera’

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera,” the acclaimed musical from London’s West End, is being staged in Shenzhen through Aug. 4. The musical follows the story of Christine Daaé, a gifted young singer at the Paris Opera, the Phantom, a secretive figure in the opera house who guides Christine’s singing, and Raoul, Christine’s childhood friend with whom she is falling in love.

Time: 8 p.m., July 10-Aug. 4 (except for Mondays, weekends also at 3 p.m.)

‘A Sign of Love’

Set in Shanghai in the mid-20th century, “A Sigh of Love” tells a wistfully romantic story of love, passion, longing and regret. Featuring choreography by acclaimed French choreographer Bertrand d’At, this modern ballet presented by the Shanghai Ballet in collaboration with the Sino-French creative team pays homage to the uniquely refined aesthetic of old Shanghai with nostalgia and emotional nuance.

Time: 3 p.m., 8 p.m., July 13
