Liu Yangyang 524652046@qq.com WITH the expansion of China’s 72/144-hour visa-free transit policy to 54 countries, EyeShenzhen, the official nine-language portal of Shenzhen, launched a travel page Wednesday to boost Shenzhen’s global tourism and enhance services for international travelers. The “Shenzhen Travel” icon is prominently displayed on EyeShenzhen’s homepage for easy access. By clicking the icon, users are directed to a comprehensive page featuring detailed information on transportation options, tourism, and upcoming events. There are practical guides and tutorials for international tourists on topics like visa applications, mobile payments, purchasing SIM cards, and the city’s tax refund process. Tourists can purchase train or ferry tickets on the page, which links to China Railway and the Shekou Cruise Homeport’s booking pages. Metro and bus routes can be checked via provided links. The page also offers information on Shenzhen’s tourist attractions, shopping malls, hotels, and dining options. Theater and sports fans can find information about shows and matches of interest. Established in 2016 as an English portal, EyeShenzhen was upgraded to a multilingual portal in June 2023. It has positioned itself as a window into Shenzhen and service platform for expats and overseas tourists who wish to explore and better understand the city. In June this year, EyeShenzhen introduced a multimedia guide to ease expats’ lives and work in Shenzhen and better serve international tourists. It also regularly hosts a variety of in-person activities for expats that are designed to help them integrate into local culture. On Saturday, a group of international visitors and bloggers will take part in an event organized by EyeShenzhen. The group will explore the city’s attractions, including Nantou Ancient Town and Talent Park in Nanshan District, OH Bay in Bao’an District, and the One Avenue shopping mall in Futian District. |
