Free shuttle buses link cultural venues
    2024-08-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TO further enhance services and improve the cultural tourism experience, the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Media, Tourism, and Sports Bureau, in collaboration with Futian District and the Shenzhen Bus Group, will launch a free shuttle bus service for visitors this Saturday.

The shuttle service will directly link several cultural venues in the central area of Futian District, making it easy and convenient for both residents and tourists to explore these sites.

Beginning at the Shenzhen Museum of History and Folk Culture, the shuttle bus route covers several key cultural venues, including the Shenzhen Library, the Shenzhen Concert Hall, Shenzhen Book City CBD Store, and the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning.

Shuttles will depart every three minutes during peak times, with the entire route taking approximately 15 minutes.

A visitor from Hong Kong surnamed Wong shared that he came to Shenzhen after learning that the city’s museums no longer require reservations. After riding the free shuttle, he expressed appreciation for how it provided a convenient cultural tour experience.

A Shenzhen resident surnamed Wang said that she brought her child to visit the Shenzhen Museum of History and Folk Culture over the weekend but encountered peak visitor traffic. “When I saw the free shuttle bus, I decided to take my child to the book city to buy some books first, then returned to the museum. The timing worked out perfectly.”

Since July 22, 133 scenic spots and cultural venues across Shenzhen have eliminated the need for reservations to improve the cultural tourism experience.
