THE Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation announced Tuesday that the city’s local standards for evaluating honest business practices, the first of their kind on the Chinese mainland, have been approved and will go into effect Sept. 1. These standards set forth specific evaluation and scoring criteria for 10 key areas, including business operations, personnel management, safety protocols, quality control, pricing strategies, service quality, protection of consumer rights, dispute resolution, honors and awards, and creditworthiness. Businesses will be graded on a scale of A, B, C, or D based on their scores, with clear guidelines for evaluation methods and dispute resolution processes, ensuring fair and objective assessments of business integrity.
