GUANGMING District will host three divisions of the 8th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition, commonly known as the “Entrepreneurship Olympics.” Registration is currently open, and the deadline to enter is Sept. 10. In recent years, Guangming District has hosted various events related to the China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition, attracting elite teams and talented individuals from around the world through various international exchange activities. The district aims to elevate its international influence by leveraging international competitions, emphasizing talent attraction, city promotion, and global exchange, and by promoting Guangming Science City. Under the banner of “promoting international exchange and collaboration and sharing innovative development opportunities,” the competition has emerged as a vital platform for showcasing talent, sharing ideas, and fostering collaborations among local and international innovators. This year’s competition features 13 overseas regional competitions, with Guangming hosting three divisions in Paris, Barcelona, and Zurich, along with two industry finals in biological medicine & health and new materials. Overseas competitions are set for October, while the industry finals will unfold from late November to early December. Apart from offering significant awards to support entrepreneurial endeavors, the competition includes a series of networking events to facilitate connections among participants, investors, entrepreneurs, and research institutions. By providing policy advice, financing assistance, and other services, the competition aims to accelerate the growth of projects and foster deep integration between international scientific innovation and industrial development. This year’s competition will streamline its schedule and processes to enhance the experience for global innovators and entrepreneurs, ultimately expanding its international influence and outreach. Guangming District is on a strategic mission to establish a world-class science city and globally significant innovation center for industry and technology.
