Located on the underground level of the Luohu Transport Hub, this new addition enhances the hub’s commercial area by expanding shopping opportunities for cross-border travelers and local residents. Upon exiting Luohu Metro Station, travelers can directly access the 1,000-meter-long bustling business street, which connects the station with Luohu Railway Station and the Luohu Checkpoint. Serving as an important “golden channel” between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, the business street was created by renovating the underground level of the transport hub. It provides entrepreneurial opportunities for self-employed young people from both Shenzhen and Hong Kong, according to Liu Chang, project manager at Shenzhen Metro Group. At present, over 50 brands have established shops on the street, offering a wide range of services like retail, dining, and convenience options for travelers from both Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The business street features brands that are popular among Hong Kong travelers, such as KUMO KUMO Cheesecakes, and specialty foods like salted baked chicken and layered cake, catering to diverse consumer tastes. |
