Border control officers conduct inspections at the Liantang Checkpoint yesterday, its fourth anniversary of operations. Since opening in 2020, the checkpoint has processed 30.37 million travelers and 2.31 million vehicles. Initially launched for cargo truck clearance, services at the checkpoint were expanded to passenger and small vehicles in 2023.
