THE first Ani-com & Games Greater Bay Area (ACGGBA) event kicked off Sunday at Halls 3 and 4 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District. This marks the debut of Ani-com & Games Hong Kong (ACGHK), a signature fair showcasing the latest trends in the Asian animation, comic, and game (ACG) industry, in Shenzhen’s local market for the first time in its 25-year history.

The three-day event, running through Tuesday to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, featured retailers, artists, singers, voice actors, and cosplayers from the global ACG industry. Highlights included Hong Kong-based exhibitors such as Medialink Group Limited, SUNRISEPOP, threezero store, Soap Studio, and others.

At the ELEFUNPOP Art & Toy Show, a sideline event of the fair, artists from the Chinese mainland, China’s Hong Kong, and countries including South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Argentina, and Indonesia showcased their original IPs and related franchises to local fans. The fair also has designated areas where individual creators could exhibit their fan art and original works.

Renowned Japanese voice actress and singer Yui Makino captivated fans with her appearance at the event. She staged a mini concert, performing three of her most well-known songs.
