China’s stock market is on fire
    2024-10-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Investors discuss share prices at a securities brokerage in Nanjing, East China’s Jiangsu Province, yesterday, the first trading day after a weeklong National Day holiday break. The combined turnover of Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses reached 3.45 trillion yuan (US$487.9 billion) yesterday, surpassing the 2.59-trillion-yuan turnover recorded Sept. 30 and hitting a new high. The market sentiment rose strongly on the Chinese Government’s announcement of a mix of policy measures including monetary stimulus and property market support policies to galvanize the economy’s rebound.  China News Service
