Materials research Senior Lecturer Evgeny A. Gorbachev, first author from the Faculty of Materials Science at SMBU, and Professor Lev A. Trusov, a corresponding author from the same faculty, recently published their latest research findings in the journal Materials Horizons. Their article, titled “Tunable Sub-Terahertz Resonant Absorption in High-Coercivity Magnetodielectric Ceramics,” opens new horizons for developing industrial terahertz electronics based on dielectric ferrimagnets. The latest impact factor of Materials Horizons in 2024 is 12.2, making it a top-tier journal recognized in the fields of materials, chemistry, and engineering. Excellence among SMBU faculty and student body Recently, the Education Working Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee commended the Student Second Party Branch as an Advanced Grassroots Party Organization and honored Associate Professor Shi Xiangyan as an Outstanding Party Member. Review paper featured in leading intl. journal Recently, Professor Chang Shuai and his research team from the Faculty of Materials Science, along with collaborators, published a review paper titled “Alternating Current Electroluminescence Devices: Recent Advances and Functional Applications” in the journal Materials Horizons. 24 research projects approved A total of 24 research projects from SMBU have been approved by the Guangdong Provincial Education Department. The projects cover various fields such as research platforms in higher education, key domain projects, and innovation projects. Students earn funding to study abroad Recently, 10 students from SMBU excelled in the National Education Fund Management Committee’s project evaluation. As a result, the students have been awarded funding to study abroad in 2024, and they will pursue studies at renowned universities in Russia. Paper in famous mathematics journal Recently, Senior Lecturer Luo Yongming, from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Control, independently published a paper titled “Almost Sure Scattering for the Defocusing Cubic Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation on R3T1” in the Journal of Functional Analysis, an authoritative journal in the field of mathematics. Award in go competition Between Aug. 24 and 25, student Su Yucao achieved an impressive fifth place in the women’s Youth A Group in a municipal-level go competition. Scholarship Recently, the Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation announced the results of the 2024 scholarship selection. Several students from SMBU stood out among numerous applicants and successfully received various forms of funding. Cooperation with Guangming District On the morning of Sept. 11, SMBU signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guangming District Government to enhance collaboration and exploration in key areas of expertise, such as big data and artificial intelligence, new materials and new energy, and biology. Award in microvideo competition Recently, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship and the Chinese-Russian Friendship Association jointly concluded the China-Russia Youth Friendly (Microvideo) Creative Competition. The microvideo “Encounter of Chinese and Russian Youth, Blossoming Friendship” by SMBU undergraduates Hu Minghang, Su Yanming, Wang Chenchun, and Ekaterina Kuprekova won the Outstanding Award. Paper in prestigious journal Recently, Senior Lecturer Cai Wanqing, from the Faculty of Materials Science, published a paper titled “Host Engineering of Deep-Blue-Fluorescent Organic Light-Emitting Diodes with High Operational Stability and Narrowband Emission” in the journal Advanced Science, a top-tier interdisciplinary journal focusing on innovative research in materials science, chemistry, biological sciences, and engineering. |
