AMERICAN visitor Lester Suarez enjoyed his first robot-crafted mojito — prepared in just two minutes — at the Bao’an District booth of the 26th China Hi-Tech Fair on Thursday. The fair opened that day at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center and will run through Saturday.

Manufactured by RobotAnno in Bao’an District, the robotic, AI-powered bartending machine is tantalizing visitors with more than 10 cocktail options. With a footprint of less than two square meters, it is versatile enough to be used in a variety of environments, including clubs, hotels, shopping areas, leisure destinations, and festivities. The machine can also make ice and clean its drink shakers.

Sharing his impressions, Suarez said, “This is my first encounter with such a vending machine. The taste is good, and the machine functions flawlessly. While human creativity makes each drink unique, I believe this robot machine signifies the future.”

Debuting at the fair, the bartending machine has captured considerable attention, and the company’s robotic, AI-powered coffee maker is drawing equally large crowds. The coffee machine offers 15 hot and cold coffee beverages, such as lattes and Americanos, and excels at creating latte art with personalized designs selected by customers.

With the capacity to deliver intricate latte art in a mere 90 seconds, this machine leverages a precision robotic arm, intelligent visual capture and recognition tech, and 3D modeling for portrait renditions. It replicates professional latte artists’ craftsmanship efficiently and affordably, making such artistry accessible and economical.

The coffee machine has already found buyers in countries including the U.S., the U.K., Germany, and Japan, according to the company.

Established in 2017, RobotAnno is a national high-tech enterprise that focuses on the research and development, production, sales, and service of desktop level robotic arms and AI-powered, robotic retail applications.

Located at Hall 15, Bao’an District’s 270-square-meter booth showcases a number of AI applications and innovations.
