WALKING into the Bao’an District booth during the 26th China Hi-Tech Fair, which wrapped up Saturday, visitors were immediately surrounded by a series of collaborative robots, or cobots, that can be utilized in various industries.

Cobots, which have become popular due to their ability to work safely alongside humans, are transforming the dynamics of human-robot collaboration in shared workspaces.

Han’s Robot, a subsidiary of laser equipment manufacturer Han’s Laser, showcased its latest Elfin-Pro collaborative robots at the Bao’an booth. The robot not only inherits the advantages of the Elfin collaborative model, such as a range of models, easy deployment, high precision, flexibility, double-joint module design, and modular design, but also has enhanced capabilities through the integration of cutting-edge AI technology, end-force control integration, and end vision integration.

The robot has been extensively used in welding, spraying, polishing, screwing, picking, and placing, and it was recently applied to cow milking by a Chinese company, according to company representatives.

Moying Robotics, another Bao’an-based enterprise that focuses on the development of mobile collaborative robots (MCR) and their application integration systems, unveiled their MCR at the fair. The robot can help reduce resource waste, decrease reliance on human labor, and support the digitalization of factories in the precision machining, semiconductor, 3C electronics, and biomedicine fields.

Since 2021, Bao’an has surpassed Nanshan District in the number of robotics firms, becoming the district with the most robotics enterprises in the city. Approximately one in five robotics firms in Shenzhen is now based in Bao’an, according to Shenzhen Economic Daily.
