The three-day expo, which concluded Saturday at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District, recorded over 120 billion yuan (US$17 billion) in intended transactions, marking a record high. Over 4,300 new tech products and achievements were announced, and more than 160 events were held, including achievement releases, global matchmaking for purchasers, and international investment forums. “The expo gathers the new productive forces of China to demonstrate the country’s economic vitality to the world through commercial exchanges,” Zhang said Thursday. One key highlight was Hall 11, which showcased the low-altitude economy. Zhang guided the audience through the hall via camera, highlighting what Shenzhen has to offer in this emerging sector.“The low-altitude economy has captured global attention, but utilizing airspace below 1,000 meters can be challenging. Shenzhen offers solutions, including aircraft for low altitudes and management systems for efficient drone operation and manned flights,” he explained. Zhang introduced the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Digital Economy Academy (IDEA), announcing that it will soon launch the Smart Integrated Lower Airspace System (SILAS). |
