A SUB-FORUM of the Guangming Science City Forum took place at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong on Dec. 6, marking a significant event in the field of science and technology. Themed "Sharing of Large Scientific Facilities for Cutting-Edge Technologies," this forum made history by being the first of its kind to be held in Hong Kong. The event convened top scientists, industry leaders, and policymakers from Shenzhen and Hong Kong to explore mechanisms for sharing large scientific facilities within the new innovation system of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). With over 70 representatives from government agencies, enterprises, research institutions, industry alliances, and financial institutions in attendance, the forum created a platform for in-depth discussions and knowledge exchange. Distinguished speakers at the forum addressed key topics such as the blueprint for Guangming, major scientific infrastructure, and industry-finance coordination. Their presentations covered various aspects including Guangming Science City construction progress, advancements in light technology, the establishment of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao supercomputing application internet, robot research and innovation, the transformation of scientific research achievements in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and collaborative development in the GBA.
