Cyclists compete in the “XDS Cup” Tour of Shenzhen • Guangming yesterday. Nearly 500 competitors vied for honors across professional, elite, and amateur categories. This year’s urban circuit race featured 10 laps for professionals, five for elites, and three for amateurs. The professional category covered a grueling 105 kilometers, with each lap stretching 10.5 kilometers. Recognized as a C-level race by the International Cycling Union, this event made its debut in Shenzhen last year. The event’s co-organizer, XDS — Shenzhen Xidesheng Bicycles, headquartered in Guangming — is the world’s largest manufacturer of carbon-fiber bicycles, boasting an annual production capacity exceeding 5 million units.Liu Xudong
