Mindray unveils revolutionary AI model for health care
    2024-12-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

MINDRAY, a leading domestic medical device manufacturer based in Shenzhen, unveiled the world’s first clinically implemented critical care model — the Qiyuan Critical Care Model — in Beijing on Saturday. The model is the result of a strategic collaboration between Mindray and Tencent.

The integration of IoT (Internet of Things), cloud computing, big data, and AI within the model has led to the creation of a tool that addresses four core clinical pain points: disease Q&A, suggestion generation, medical record writing, and critical illness knowledge query.

Additionally, it can trace and integrate patient conditions within five seconds, predict trends, and suggest treatments based on digital patient portraits. It can also generate medical records within one minute, guided by clinical thinking, and provide critical knowledge query results with an accuracy rate of up to 95%. These features are set to significantly enhance the precision and quality of clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Li Xinsheng, senior vice president of Mindray, highlighted the model’s potential to alleviate burdens on medical staff, allowing them to dedicate more time to patient care.

Looking ahead, Li revealed plans to expand the application of the model into other departments such as emergency, anesthesia, imaging, and laboratories. Potential applications include auxiliary diagnosis, report generation and review, clinical case and knowledge retrieval, and teaching quality control. (Zhang Yu)
