New landmark bookstore

CONSTRUCTION of the Shenzhen Book City Bay Area Store, located in Qianhai, is set to be completed by the end of 2024, and it will open in 2025, according to the Shenzhen Municipal Public Works Bureau.

The 66,000-square-meter project is a major cultural facility in Shenzhen.

Shopping expo

THE Bay Area Fashion Consumption Expo will kick off in Hall 17 of the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District tomorrow and run through Tuesday.

The expo will feature eight major thematic exhibition areas, including automobiles, real estate, retail shopping, green agriculture, famous liquors and teas, Hong Kong and Macao specialties, and Taiwan specialties. Additionally, activities such as dragon dance performances, acrobatic shows, and model contests will be held during the exhibition.

Oyster festival

OYSTER lovers have a good place to go as the Shajing Golden Oyster Festival will officially kick off in Shajing, Bao’an District, tomorrow, lasting through Jan. 1, 2025.

A total of 20 activities will be held to promote the oyster culture in Shajing and oyster delicacies.

The Shajing oyster is a specialty of Shenzhen, renowned both domestically and internationally. Shajing is the first place in the world to farm oysters, a practice that is more than 1,000 years old.
