Legacy endures

An acrobat interacts with a boy during a hat trick performance at the 6th Futian Hakka Walled Villages Culture Season, part of the Shenzhen Creative December, in Futian District on Sunday. About 300 residents from 15 villages in the district performed acrobatics, songs, dances, and folk arts. These performances celebrated the history and legacy of ancient Hakka walled villages — large, defensible, communal structures unique to the Hakka people of southern China.  Liu Xudong
