Chilly days ahead

SHENZHEN is bracing for three rounds of chilly air in the days leading to mid-January, according to the city’s weather forecast.

Between Dec. 30, 2024 and Jan. 20, 2025, active cold air will be accompanied by sporadic showers and strong gusts, with temperatures dipping to a low of around 8 degrees Celsius.

Aiguo Road flower fair

THE 2025 Spring Festival Flower Fair on Aiguo Road in Luohu District will be held from Jan. 22 to 28, 2025.

With about 300 booths, this year’s flower market will retain its traditional features and add new sections for pets, trendy toys, cultural creativity.

Green firms

A total of 37 Shenzhen companies have been recognized in the 2024 Green Manufacturing List by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Bao’an District leads the city with the highest number of Green Factories and Green Supply Chain companies on the list.

A Green Factory is characterized by a company that excels in intensive land utilization, employs harmless raw materials, maintains clean production processes, effectively manages waste, and adopts low-carbon energy practices.

A Green Supply Chain company is one that integrates green and low-carbon development principles across all stages of its operations, from product design and raw material sourcing to production, transportation, storage, sales, usage, and disposal, thereby enhancing the overall green performance of the supply chain.
