THE pink trumpet trees (Tabebuia rosea) are in full bloom at the Houhai Zhongxin River Park in Nanshan District, transforming the park into a vibrant sea of soft pink flowers. The picturesque sight, reminiscent of a dreamy anime scene, has become a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike. The flower season for these trees runs from mid-December through March. During this time, the trees are covered with clusters of delicate pink flowers before their leaves begin to sprout. From a distance, the trees appear as puffy pink clouds, while up close, the flowers resemble small, hanging wind chimes, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. Located along both banks of the Zhongxin River in the park, approximately 100 pink trumpet trees are currently in full bloom. On sunny days, visitors flock to the park to capture the beauty of the trees with the perfect backdrop of blue skies, white clouds, and lush green grass. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, the park offers an idyllic setting for a day out. Photography tips: ● For the best lighting, it’s recommended to visit before 10 a.m. or after 3 p.m., when the sunlight is softer and more flattering. ● The park is primarily home to purple and pink trumpet trees. Wearing white or light-colored clothing will make your photos stand out and complement the soft tones of the flowers. ● For a creative touch, consider bringing props like books, magazines, picnic blankets, or newspapers to add a cozy, atmospheric feel to your photos.
