Discovering the richness of Spring Festival culture
    2025-01-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Marko Arandjelovic (L) and Simonida Pesic, both from Serbia, hold the Chinese character “Fu” during a Spring Festival event at the Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats (MSCE) on Saturday afternoon. Organized by the center, the event aimed to offer expats a deeper understanding of the traditions surrounding Spring Festival, one of China’s most significant festivals. “Fu” means happiness, blessing, and good fortune. People across China traditionally paste this character on their doors or windows during Spring Festival to greet the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Jan. 29 this year.Courtesy of MSCE
