TO assist 2025 graduates in their job search, Shenzhen is offering free seven-day stays in over 10,000 apartments across 109 communities throughout the city, which are equipped with essential amenities like air conditioning, washing machines, beds with bedding, and basic furniture.

While rent is free, graduates are still responsible for water and electricity bills, as well as cleaning fees that range from 6 yuan (US$0.8) to 10 yuan per day. An upfront, refundable deposit of 500 yuan is required. If graduates wish to extend their stay, they will receive a rent discount and a 188-yuan coupon that can be applied to rent.

Eligible graduates can apply for free stays through the “安居乐寓公寓” WeChat account until June 30. To apply, click on “服务” in the WeChat menu bar and select “申请通道” under the “深梦扬帆” section. There is also a search function to filter by location.

Applicants must provide proof of their education and are only eligible for one free seven-day stay. Applicants should apply at least five days before their intended stay.

These apartments are provided by Shenzhen Anju Group.

The free accommodation project was launched in November 2024. For many, the project has alleviated financial burdens while seeking employment. (Cao Zhen)
