THE Dafen Art Museum was illuminated with creativity and culture Friday as it hosted the Biennale Night for the 4th Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale, Shenzhen.

Themed “Green & Coexistence,” the exhibition, one of the most influential art events in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, has drawn the attention of nearly 1,900 artists from across 50 countries and regions.

A total of 224 pieces from 49 countries and regions were on display.

In a speech during the ceremony, Yang Yanling, curator of the Dafen Art Museum, highlighted the role of exhibitions in bridging local and international artistic communities.

Liang Yu, board member of the China Artists Association and vice chairman of the Guangdong Artists Association, said the exhibition embodied the unique cultural confidence and creative vitality of young artists.

During the event, artist Song Mengyi engaged the audience with her insights on “Art as a Language Beyond Borders” and showcased a video of her “digital representation” giving an English speech. Additionally, a cooperation agreement was inked to establish a long-term support mechanism for artists.

Interactive elements, such as stamp collection and an audience message wall, were also introduced.

The exhibition is set to run until April 20, welcoming visitors daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., except Mondays.
