THE Pingshan District People’s Government and Nanjing University signed a collaborative agreement for industry-university-research (IUR) integration Feb. 18. This partnership seeks to enhance technological innovation within local enterprises. Under the agreement, Pingshan will support local enterprises in collaborating with the university to establish innovation platforms, such as research institutes, laboratories, and centers. These initiatives will focus on research and development in key fields, including new energy, intelligent connected vehicles, the low-altitude economy, high-performance materials, IT and biopharmaceuticals. The agreement also outlines the creation of a mechanism for the commercialization of technological achievements. Additionally, both parties will implement a long-term cooperation framework for talent exchange, facilitating collaboration in talent training, development, and recruitment between Pingshan companies and the university. As part of this partnership, Pingshan-based BYD is collaborating with Nanjing University to establish the university’s first high-level innovation platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in Pingshan. The platform will focus on breakthroughs in core technologies and training exceptional engineers. On Dec. 17, 2024, Pingshan announced trial measures designed to promote IUR collaboration and facilitate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. (Cao Zhen) |
