Free skateboarding fun
    2025-03-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AS spring sunshine warms up subtropical Shenzhen, skateboarding enthusiasts are on the lookout for the best sites to enjoy their favorite sport.

Nestled near the entrance of Hongqiao Park in Guangming District, a free-to-use skatepark, covering approximately 6,000 square meters, beckons fans of this thrilling sport. Featuring professional facilities such as bowls and street courses, the skatepark is perfect for both practice and competition. Surrounding the arena at the center are terraced seating areas for spectators to rest and witness the performances.

With 90% covered in lush greenery, Hongqiao Park is best known for the Rainbow Bridge, floating 8 meters above the ground and winding 4 kilometers like a red ribbon amidst the woods.

Shaded by lush trees and offering fresh air, this space offers the thrill and challenge of skateboarding while allowing visitors to take in the most stunning views Shenzhen has to offer.

The skatepark opens free to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a lunch break between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays. Those who wish to use the facilities are required to bring their own skateboards and protective gear, and take precaution when practicing dangerous moves.
