An online teaching experience

Recently, I joined my school’s online teaching program, where I dedicate one hour each Saturday to teaching English to children in underprivileged areas.

This experience has been both challenging and rewarding, as it requires me to prepare my own teaching materials, including PowerPoint presentations. Starting from the basics, I teach the students how to pronounce letters from A to Z.

This program offers me valuable insights into the challenges of education in less developed regions. The children lack access to proper learning resources, and English education is often not a priority in their schools.

However, their eagerness to learn and enthusiasm during lessons have made me realize the importance of education and the significant role language skills may play in shaping their future.

At first, many of them struggled with simple pronunciations, but over time, I have seen remarkable improvements. Their growing confidence and excitement when they get something right have been the biggest reward for me. I feel proud of their progress.

This experience has also taught me to be patient, flexible, and clear in my communication. Each student learns at a different pace, and I have learned to adjust my teaching methods to cater to their individual needs.

This program has reinforced my belief that education is a powerful tool for change. By providing these children with better learning opportunities, we are helping them build brighter futures.

The experience has also made me appreciate the educational resources that I have access to and motivated me to make the most of my own schooling.

This online volunteer teaching program has been incredibly meaningful. It has allowed me to contribute to the education of children who need it most while also helping me grow as a person.

Teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it is about inspiring and empowering others. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope to continue making a positive impact through education.
