AI robot for lasting companionship
    2025-03-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Visitors interact with Ai Me, an AI companion robot developed by TCL — a leading global tech brand based in Shenzhen — at the Appliance & Electronics World Expo 2025, which opened in Shanghai on Thursday. Dubbed the world’s first modular AI companion robot, the owl-shaped device stands upright in its detachable base. It features expressive digital eyes that blink and change according to its mood, as well as a childlike voice. The robot can record videos, capture photos, and store them as cherished memories for users. Additionally, it functions as a home surveillance camera, monitoring the household while the family is asleep or away. It can also produce and project AI-generated images and animations for children before bedtime. Its advanced technologies enable it to recognize, identify, and describe what it sees when asked.Xinhua
