Flying car arrives!
    2025-03-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A test model of the Alef Model A car, developed by U.S. company Alef Aeronautics, is seen flying during a demonstration held at the Honkwok Center in Futian District, Shenzhen, on Friday. This marked the debut of the world’s first electric vehicle capable of vertical takeoff and forward flight on the Chinese mainland. The car features electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) capabilities and a dual-mode design for both road and air travel. With a flight range of 110 miles (177 km) and a driving range of 200 miles, this vehicle aims to redefine urban mobility by offering an innovative alternative to traffic congestion. Designed to carry one or two occupants, the flying car is now available for pre-order with an estimated price of around US$300,000. Official Weibo account of Futian District
