
Rescuers from Shenzhen work at the quake-stricken Great Wall Hotel in Mandalay, Myanmar, early yesterday. The team found and rescued a female survivor who had been trapped for nearly 60 hours early yesterday morning. The survivor had strong vital signs upon rescue. This was the first rescue of a survivor by the China Search and Rescue Team after their arrival in the heavily affected city late Sunday. A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck the Southeast Asian nation Friday. As of Sunday, the death toll had climbed to 1,700, with over 3,400 injured and 300 still missing.
