Friendship without borders
    2025-04-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Members of a visiting U.S. student delegation pose for a group photo with their Chinese counterparts after a friendly match at a school in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. They were among 31 student athletes from Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland, the U.S., who are on a pickleball-themed cultural journey in China. Their four-day tour of Shenzhen concluded Thursday, marking the second stop of their China tour. In Shenzhen, they visited foreign language schools in Nanshan, where they participated in friendly pickleball competitions and experienced local culture. They also visited UBTECH and were intrigued by the company’s interactive humanoid robots. The journey, scheduled to last through Monday, aims to foster deep and lasting friendships between the youth of the U.S. and China. Their last stop will be Beijing.
